 Congress-led United Democratic Front is poised for a major come back in the three-tier local bodies in Kerala as per the latest trends from counting centres. Counting of votes began at 8 am on Wednesday at 200-odd centres across the state, which had gone to booths on October 23 and 25.
Of the four corporations, the UDF has wrested two, including Kochi, which the CPI (M)-led Left Democratic Front has been ruling for last three decades. The LDF was routed in Thrissur corporation where the UDF wrested power winning 45 of the 55 seats.
