f you were one of those interviewed for 11000 clerk jobs in SBI & waiting for your results – there is good news! State Bank of India has informed about the expected date of results & also hinted about possible increase in the total vacancies.

SBI Clerk Recruitment: State Bank of India announced recruitment of 11000 clerks during September 2009.Bank job aspirants were excited that more than 36 lakh applications were received.To accommodate them, the written test was held on November 8,15 & 22, 2009.As predicted by bankexamsindia.com about SBI results (written test), they were out in the month of March 2010.

The shortlisted candidates were called for Interview during April /May 2010. Everyone were expecting the final results to be out in 1 month but nearly 3 months passed without any news – which led to the spread of rumors about the date of result in online forums & discussion boards.


Results in October: On August 23 2010, SBI issued a statement explaining the reason for the delay in publishing the final results of clerk recruitment.It also mentions that SBI would publish the final result in 6 weeks (by October/November 2010)

3 candidates (approximately 33000) would be called for Interview.

But now,the bank has stated of having interviewed over 90,000 candidates.Going by 1:3 ratio it is possible for SBI to have increased the posts to appoint 30,000 clerks
